ORCHIDS

You have seen the roses that I have been so blessed to have in my own backyard. Here is the orchid that is blooming on my back porch. I did nothing to help - it was all God's doing.

GREEN Tomatoz in March

Ahhh, yes, I am delighted to have these veggies in a pot by my lanai.

WonderDOG

Lil Bertolli has springs in his feet and could have done steeple chasing. Like his brother Mister Buco, he has talents that could have easily been showcased at the circus. Speaking of which, I attended the Sarasota Circus recently and found it to be amazing. A man juggling tennis rackets, a woman dressed in beauty doing the cirque de soleil flying, funny little dogs doing Lippanzer stallion drills and a middle-aged ringmaster on the giant circle wheel keeping everyone a little bit on edge.

I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.

This morning I picked three roses and from the single bush I have in a large pot near my lanai. I only wish the photo of these lovelies could convey the wonderful, delicious fragrance.

As a flower in the garden

Bending toward the sun,

Unfolds it's tiny petals

One, by one, by one...

So faith expands it's beauty

Until at last it grows

Into life's lasting flower...

The heart's fair perfect rose.

Under the Sea

Mermaids in Florida! On Saturday we visited Weeki Wachee Springs. For over 60 years, they have showcased their clear, freshwater, 74 degree F springs with "mermaid" shows. The breathing apparatus seemed very unique and the swimming quite synchronized. This photo shows a patriotic skit but they also did a Little Mermaid show. It was cool.

March 10, 2008 Welcome to my BLOGGGG

So happy to have my little buddies back home again. It was a long trek to get them and they made the walk back home with me - all five miles. Tiki had to be carried just a little bit but Buco knew it was March so he marched on. Here's a photo of the Moondoggies.
